Vocal Programmes

'sing inspiration!'

The 'sing inspiration!' programme gives young people the opportunity to receive high quality vocal coaching through a series of in-school workshops and rehearsals culminating in a dynamic mass choir performance, accompanied by live band and horn section.

Since 2007, the Southbank Centre has hosted 'sing inspiration!' performances in London with two spectacular concerts each year at Royal Festival Hall. Over 7,000 young people have performed in the mass choirs to-date and the singing extravaganza will return in 2011 with shows on the evenings of 7th & 8th March.

The 'sing inspiration!' programme comprises:

  1. Teacher training
  2. In-school workshops
  3. Mass choir rehearsal
  4. Concert performance
  5. Support resources – practice CDs, transcriptions and lyrics
  6. DVD recording of concert

Suitable for:
Primary schools – Yrs 5 & 6
Secondary schools – all secondary student choirs
Adults – as part of the igospelLondon choir programmes

Other programmes

Songwriting

A workshop day, or series of sessions, led by tutor and musician/s. This is suitable for a whole class or small groups of children or students and is an ideal opportunity for children with musical aptitude to extend their skills.

Instrumental training

We provide a variety of high quality instrumental tutoring to support in-school curriculum and out of school music programmes including keyboards, guitar, drums.

Training
